Our integrated program involves 3 evening sessions over the course of three weeks. Through a combination of motivational hypnosis and practical nutritional counseling, we’ll work on helping your subconscious and conscious mind reprogram your attitudes towards food, eating, and exercise.
These powerful, small group sessions will empower you to take an active role in your day-to-day health. In under 10 hours, you’ll be given the tools, willpower, and support you need to have a positive and practical weight-loss experience.
Even after the conclusion of your sessions, the support from New England Hypnosis & Weight Loss will continue, assisting you as you chart a new direction for your eating habits and overall lifestyle.
You will receive Dr. McEvoy’s manual (in electronic form) for reference. The manual covers everything you will learn during the sessions. You will also have access to our private Facebook group, receive follow-up emails with nutritional information broken down into steps that make healthy eating easy to implement and they reinforce what you’ll be learning during our hypnosis sessions.
As a client, you will have unlimited email access to Dr. McEvoy to get questions answered even after the sessions end. Our job is not only to give you the information but also to give you the ability to take action and to be empowered to control your health going forward.
Does Hypnosis Work?
The short answer is…it works.
The slightly longer answer is hypnosis can help you change beliefs that limit you into beliefs that empower you. When it comes to setting goals for any purpose such as health, career, fitness, weight loss, etc most of us do a very good job. When it comes to working towards and achieving goals, we often sabotage ourselves to the point that we are our own worst enemy. We may start a new task with the best of intentions but as soon as we hit a bump in the road, we fall off track and seldom get back on.
Over the years, I have seen hundreds of people start a “diet” or exercise program (especially at the New Year). The first weeks go very well but as soon as the initial enthusiasm is gone, the diet and exercise are gone as well.
This is where hypnosis can help. By feeding your subconscious mind positive suggestions and commands, it will then carry them out with little to no effort your part. This means you don’t have to rely on sheer willpower and/or determination to follow through. Your mind will begin to work for you instead of your actions working against you.
Why Our Program?
You have probably seen many ‘weight loss’ programs that use pre-packaged foods that either come right to your door or maybe you pick them up at a doctor’s office. These are typically very expensive and teach nothing about eating healthy for life. These programs can cost upwards of $4000-5000 per year and you’ll still have to go grocery shopping for the rest of the family. The costs can really add up.
In my 20+ years of treating clients, I have never seen a pre-packaged food program work for the long term. That is, where the client maintains weight loss after they transition back to whole food. I have never seen a powdered meal replacement shake work for the long term either. Stop the shakes and the weight quickly returns. These types of plans can ruin your metabolism as well. They slow the metabolism so when the weight returns it usually goes beyond the original starting weight.
Our program combines hypnosis with a healthy, realistic, and sustainable eating plan. The eating plan uses only foods you will find right at the local grocery store and the hypnosis trains your mind to be able to eat the proper foods, in the proper amounts while feeling satisfied and comfortable. You will not feel deprived because you eat normal food and with the hypnosis, your mind will no longer crave the foods that make you gain weight.
How The Program Works
We will meet one evening per week for three weeks. These are small group sessions and each weekly session will about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Weeks 1 & 2 will begin with a hypnosis session that speaks directly to the subconscious mind to help you make the proper food choices, overcome cravings and emotional eating, avoid the foods that lead to weight gain and poor health, and help you reach any weight loss or health goal you desire.
We will then have a learning portion where we go over the proper foods to eat at each meal, the proper portions, nutrients, food preparation, and ways to incorporate this knowledge to make it a new, healthy way of life.
The session will end with a motivational hypnosis session that will help you reach your goals, to know you are empowered with the ability to make the changes that will allow you to be healthy and stay on track even in the face of challenges that arise in our lives.
Week 3 will also begin with a hypnosis session similar to weeks 1 & 2 with the addition of a section on exercise motivation. The learning portion this week will be on exercise and how you can begin a new exercise program or tailor your current one to promote fat loss, blood sugar control, cardiovascular health, and muscular strength and coordination. This week will also conclude with a motivational hypnosis session to make you feel ready to take on the world and anything it wants to throw at you.
What Sets Us Apart
What sets us apart from other programs is the follow-up and the support you will receive.
After week 1, you will be emailed a program manual that can be used as a reference for all the material you heard at session 1. You will also receive several support emails each week which present the program material in small, easy to implement steps. You will not be left to figure it out on your own or be asked to remember everything you’ve heard in the sessions.
Clients will also be enrolled in our private Facebook group where we can share successes, recipes, exercises, and motivate each other. You’re free to participate in the group or you can simply observe what others are sharing, it is up to you.
As a bonus, you will receive Dr. McEvoy’s weekly ‘Health News You Can Use’ email. This is not strictly a weight loss email but covers topics that include healthy eating, supplements, exercise, and some of the latest research studies pertaining to health. In the past, this has only been available to his patients but you too will now have access.
Also, you will never be left to go it alone after you’ve been a client of New England Hypnosis & Weight Loss. After your sessions end, you will be able to email Dr. McEvoy to have questions answered to help you reach your goals and if needed, he makes himself available for private 1 to 1 hypnosis sessions to reinforce the information presented.
